SPOKANE, Wash. - The Washington State Patrol is investigating a deadly rollover crash on Highway 395 Friday morning north of Spokane. The accident happened just after 5:30 a.m. Friday on southbound highway 395 between Hatch and Monroe Road. The State Patrol says that Jesse Cox, 19, of Spokane was driving southbound when his 1997 Dodge Ram pickup drifted off the side of the highway and kept going. Eventually his truck rolled and Cox was ejected from the vehicle.Cox was not wearing his seatbelt; if he had been wearing his seatbelt it would've increased his odds of surviving the crash.Investigators looking into whether or not a medical condition, drugs or alcohol played a factor as the truck drifted off the highway and Cox apparently never applied the brakes or attemped to correct his course.
