Donald Trump for President?

I never thought I’d hear that particular string of words put together. Donald Trump, eccentric billionaire with hair that defies all logic. Trump of, “You’re fired!” television fame. Trump, crazy like a fox, offensive, strange, and running for President of the United States.

There are some strange news bites out there. One reveals that Mr. Trump says he is a member of a church in Manhattan, but the church he claimed to go to, Marble Collegiate Church, was quick to say that he is not a parishioner. They don’t want him on their roll books.

Ivana Trump apparently once said that her now ex-husband kept a book of speeches by Adolf Hitler by his bedside. There’s an inspiration for you.

If the Protestants don’t want him, apparently he’s winning over the Evangelicals. I’m not sure I want to really know why.

The FCC is fielding more than a dozen complaints against Trump. There are concerns that his media presence gives him an unfair advantage, of course that’s a moot point since NBC gave him the boot after his racial comments about Mexican immigrants. Trump idiotically gave out Senator Lindsay Graham’s cell phone number during an appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. Many complaints are simply complaining that broadcasts on the major news networks are all becoming “The Donald Trump Show.”

Sarah Palin actually says she’d consider being Trump’s running mate. And she meant for Vice President.

Donald Trump is talking nonsense constantly and pulling stunts for attention. He’s politically incorrect and appears to know nothing about running his business (which was valued at much less than his claims) let alone politics and running the country.

It scares me that he is actually being considered by some voters. There are actually people taking this clown seriously. He’s more like a parody of a political figure from The Daily Show than a real politician.

So, why is everybody watching Trump BESIDES him being on TV 24/7? Could be his attacks on Jeb Bush. Every chance he gets, he throws more dirt at Bush. Bush responds like an adult. Trump keeps slinging insults, even when he can’t back them up. It’s like watching a bully in a playground. Not that I’m endorsing Bush. I’m wondering when somebody is going to kick Trump off the stage and tell him that he has to play well with others and actually use facts without insulting a man and his entire family.

Trump is entertainment for some. I find him annoying and ignorant. He has a big mouth and bad hair. He bashes anyone in his way. Do we want him anywhere near the “red button?” That’s about as scary as it gets, folks. Next time you see him on TV, ask yourself how you’d feel if he was sitting at the head of table with the control to send out nuclear weapons. Personally, that thought makes me nauseous. And very, very scared.
